Clear Tideroot Leaf

Category: Crafting Item

"Tideroot Leaves are the broad, fibrous, and incredibly resilient leaves harvested from the hardy Tideroot Tree, one of the most common and respected coastal trees across the island chain. Their thick structure and well-developed vein network evolved to withstand the constant salt-laden winds and battering rains of the archipelago's monsoon seasons. These leaves are renowned among Scarfoxes for their strength, weather resistance, and long-lasting durability, making them a staple material for both everyday use and festival preparations."

The Clear Tideroot Leaf is a carefully cleaned and prepared piece of foliage that can withstand the stretching and drying process for drum skins. These are prepared by artisans months in advance at times for separate usage across the island, but have been incorporated by Hanabi after discussion with the Council for the fireworks festival. Tideroot Satchet Base

Category: Crafting Item

"The Tideroot Satchet base is a carefully cut piece of leftover dried leaf from the initial drum skin making. While its primary use is in creating the explosive satchets for ones Soul Drum, these can also be used for cooking purposes, patching spots temporarily on sails, or dried out for multiple months in the sun and turned into teas! The teas of this leaf when dried properly give off an earthy yet refreshing honeydew like note, and are a specialty gift item you may find in small pop up stands or shops"

Tideroot Bark Peel

Category: Crafting Item

"A very fiberous yet flexible piece of the Tideroot trees that fill the island with lush green vibrancy. Trees are felled with tools imbued with the Lord of Plentys scale in some form of way as reverance to the great abundance he provides. The bark is stripped off after a phase of drying to help separate the connecting membranes, brought to artisans who shave the pieces smooth, then soaked for elasticity before shaping. Due to the peels tight curl after drying, its shaped around a form backwards from its initial shaping with clamps made of wood to expose the bright soft grain of the bark. This side is much more permeable to the dying methods of the artisans, and its softer density makes it easier to carve."

Plume Puff Threads

Category: Crafting Item

"Thin soft flammable threading woven from collecting floating Plume Puff seeds in fine mesh netting, cleaned of debris, and spun by hand by natives of Isla Solara. These threads are integral for the process and creation of not just the Festival Soul Drums tassels, but lightweight breathable apparel, and colorful braiding threads in foxes hairstyles and furs! Its ease of dye permeation allows for very little waste of leftover dyes post drum creation. These threads will be coated in a thin layer of wax and used for temporary stitches when a Scarfox is injured."

Lord of Plenty Scale

Category: Crafting Item

"These radiant, opalescent rainbow scales are shed by the Lord of Plenty, the colossal, catfish-like sea deity, during his yearly passage through the coral-lined shores of Isla Solara. Each scale glistens with shifting hues of pearl-white, soft rainbow ripples, and faint golden glow along its edges. Their surface is surprisingly lightweight yet remarkably durable, cool to the touch, and faintly infused with divine Mist. Despite their beauty, Lord of Plenty Scales aren't merely decorative — they are a key component in recipes, both culinary and alchemical, prized for their flavor-enhancing, magical, and symbolic properties."
