Over the course of a year or more, we've made the community aware of site hiccups, whilst also being made aware of site issues that seem superficial at times or minimal or could be mitigated by a quick fix (such as multiple subtypes not applying when a fox is approved, to things like traits duplicating on a ml entry out of random or from a rogue approval, thumbnails not properly cropping, subtypes disappearing, and similar problems with the masterlist itself.)

 

Outside of the masterlist however, we had our current coder test and port over a plugin function, which ended up making the cash shop unusable even though it was completely fine on the dev site which is a near 1:1 of the live site. Issues have continued to encroach upon the site: such as reports not being able to be processed and handled, instead giving us 404 errors. Another example being random user accounts do not have access to do things they would otherwise normally be able to do without any reason or logic as to why it broke in the first place that we could find, like when Dragon-Eternals account had them unable to buy almost every pet from the shop for crystals, and so on.

 

With all this in mind, we were made aware a bit ago by our current coder that we're still on v1 of lorekeeper. Alongside this, we have also had coding done by 2 different prior coders that differ alot in their structures. Which, additionally, makes it quite hard for our coder to dig through and process everything that would be apart of one plugin itself from multiple folders and files. If we asked our coder to comb through and fix every little bug, it was quoted to take a year plus to hopefully fix everything that needs to do so. It’s not even guaranteed it would fix all of our lingering issues, so we're going with a more surefire way to move the species forward on the best footing we can get.

 

 

With this movement, we should be able to get rid of and fix all of our bugs, start up fresh and up to date, and start putting in pending things like fixing gallery submission sectioning (separating shading from backgrounds and similar), putting in the animation submission feature, and other quality of life fixes so we can move forward and develop things in a much more stable and concrete website with our current coder! This should also make it easier to put in future features and ideas from and for our community as our team expands into this next chapter.

 What does this mean for upcoming things?

 

!! The Scarfox Masterlist will freeze processing December 1st 2025 !!

!! Full site shutdown to begin porting over to the new domain will be occurring around January 1st !!

Porting to the new site will take a couple of months to make sure information is correct, corruptions can be mitigated, and the coder has time to test plugins for functions as we upgrade/fix/update site stuff. We aim to come back online March at the latest.

 

Due to the fact that users accounts have password encryption, we cannot take the data of every user and port it over.

 Each item in your inventory has this page when its tapped on (see screenshot below). Please make sure to get the item in question at the top in lineup with the item variations section below for proof of obtaining, as some items are from raffles, purchased from shop with usd value, etc.

 

For ease of processing,users are fine to only document the items with a USD/crystal value in this manner.

 

Item logs can misalign or not be for currently held items as all items are identical except for the item variation proofing.

The whole page is recommended to also register their names. If you may forget what pet is registered to what fox, that can be documented in part 4. Charaacter optional.

histories and logs of everything are non transferrable as thats tied in with your account, however you are encouraged to document these histories if you wish to keep your date and timestamps on earning things in the species, this also goes for your masterlist creation timestamps and ownership histories if you wish to keep that.
