Feathered Deer
Fauna
-
Appearance: Delicate deer with soft feather-like fur along the spine and antlers resembling braided vines with small leaves.
-
Behavior: Skittish and gentle; they move in small herds. When threatened, their feather tufts puff up and scatter dandelion-like seeds to distract predators.
-
Diet: Windwillow shoots, Petalgrass, Lantern Fruit, and Bamboo leaves. During the Mist Season, they forage for fallen Mistbloom petals.
-
Other Traits: Their shed feathers are often collected by Scarfoxes for charms and decorations.
-
Behavior: Shy, fleet-footed creatures often seen grazing near the bamboo forests at dusk. They travel in small herds of 4-8 individuals and communicate through subtle ear flicks and tail motions. Their feather-like back growths puff up when startled.
-
Diet: Strict herbivores. They nibble on young bamboo leaves, Windwillow shoots, Feather Ferns, and low-hanging Lantern Fruit. During spring, they also consume fallen Cloud Blossoms and new Petalgrass growth.
