Personality

Victor is a wallflower of a man. Due to his nervousness he will always greet others with a sheepish smile and a stutter. It's easy to tell when Victor gets used to one's company, when his voice will jump in volumes and it gets increasingly difficult to change topics away from his hyperfocus on magic or alchemy, or to even get him to quiet down. His fascination in, well, really everything tends to cause him to ramble on and on without realizing he's not letting the other person get a word in. Overall, Victor is kind and tries to do right by others, though his hermit-like disposition sometimes causes him to not notice annoyed or impatient nuances in others' faces or voices.

History

Victor was found by a famous alchemist at a young age. Noticing his talent to summon magic without the use of a catalyst or summoning spells, the Scarfox was taken on as an apprentice to become the Alchemist's protegé. Due to his fame, the Alchemist was sought out for war. His usefulness in magic and research would prove invaluable; though the Alchemist had no loyalty to any of the parties involved. Wars between kingdoms were frequent, and alchemists were often sought after, but recruitment methods were cruel. Victor was young when an army invaded and surrounded their forest home. The Alchemist had expected this, and prepared, having an escape path at the ready. The two tried to escape, but in his old age, the Alchemist found his old escape route far too difficult to traverse, and he knew that if they stayed together, they would both be caught. To save the protegé he considered a son, the Alchemist cast a spell to seal the entrance to the escape route, saving Victor. In turn, the spell drained the Alchemist, and he stood on the other side of the barrier, waiting to be caught by the army. He took solace in knowing that his teachings and knowledge would live on in his protegé, and accepted his fate. With a heavy heart, the Scarfox fled, never once returning to his destroyed, ransacked home. Over time, the Scarfox used his master's teachings to create simple but effective potions. He became a wandering apothecary and traveling potion seller. Despite this newfound method of somewhat steady income, Victor was reluctant to openly using his magic, fearing that his master's fate would become his own. Only in solitude, or with a trusted friend, will Victor show his magical prowess.

Appearance

Victor has long blond hair that is normally tied back with a ribbon; it's one of the few pieces of clothing he indulges himself in, and likes to collect various colors (though purple is his favorite). On his person is always his satchel in which he carries his master's alchemy journal, a number of different plant and herb species he finds along his journey, and multiple vials and flasks both empty and filled with potions that he uses to heal himself and others in need that he stumbles upon. His bandages hide secret markings that cover his body that glow when he uses his magic and alchemy; since he tries to be discreet as much as he can while using magic, these are quite a comfort to him.
