Foxtober Prompt: Tarot

"They're Tarot cards."

Vulcan's cold, large olive-skinned hands passed 5 small pieces of paper towards Clarine. The two sat at a short coffee table, both on their knees, in the middle of Vulcan's living room. He had invited the tall Scarfox to his apartment, which was by far much more filled and larger then Clarine's- as she had little money to furnish.
The T.V roared behind Vulcan, a comedic movie playing in the background- Jumanji. Under them sat a blue and white carpet with different patterns, reminding Clarine of the first time she saw a pool. The couch was directly behind her, fluffy and comfortable, with a large blanket lying atop the cushions. While the two played, they were waiting for the food in the oven to beep- and alert them that it finished.
The olive-skinned man set down the large deck of cards in the middle of the table- holding his own five. "We're playing Uno." He told Clarine, who tilted her head to the side in confusion. He sighed "Uno is a card game." He described.

"I will place a card first, then you have to place a card either with the same number or colour." He described "If you get a card that is multiple colours, you can place it any time." Clarine nodded her head, able to understand the rules.

Vulcan dragged a card out from his stack, placing down a red 5. Clarine stared for a few seconds, not having any reds, but noticing she had a blue 5. Taking it- she placed it down on top of Vulcan's card. "Is that how you do it?"
"Yes." Vulcan nodded, placing down a blue card. This went on for a while, Clarine focusing hard while Vulcan sat there with a gentle smile on his warm lips- enjoying teaching Clarine new things about the human world.

Clarine noticed she had but one card left, staring at it, she took it and gently placed it down. The card was a colour change- she had learned what it was because Vulcan used one earlier. "Do I lose?" She asked
Vulcan groaned, placing down the 2 cards he had left- both blue 6's. "No, you won." He shook his head. Clarine perked up, a wide- proud grin spreading across her features.

"Aha!" She cheered "My first time, and I won!" Clarine clapped her hands. Vulcan chuckled, nodding his head "I'm impressed." He lifted a hand to scratch his chiselled jaw.

"Well, wanna try the 7 and 0 rule?"
"What's that?"
