Foxtober Prompt: Star
The wind brustled against the empty trees leaves brushing off and floating with the wind until they inevitably fell to the ground. The moon lit up the entire park, stars sparkling proudly beside it- making the moon seem as if it was twinkling and shining.
Clarine sat on a large blanket, blocking the cold grass from touching her. Beside her sat Vulcan. Vulcan glanced between her and the sky constantly, not able to find what he wanted to look at.
"Vulcan?" Suddenly sounded, causing him to flinch violently. Clarine now looked over at him. Her glowing ruby eyes stared at him.
"O-Oh-" He stuttered "Yeah?" He quickly answered. Clarine glanced away, looking back up at the clouds. She lifted a hand and pointed at the sky. "What do you call those?" She asked.
Vulcan stared for a few seconds, not knowing what to say, until he quickly realized she was pointing at the stars. "Ah! Stars." He grinned "They're in space. Pretty, aren't they?"
Clarine nodded her head "They are." She said. Silence fell between the two of them, Clarine slowly lying on her back and staring directly up- Vulcan followed in suit.
"I want to take one." Clarine interrupted abruptly. Vulcan couldn't help but chuckle, glancing over towards her- she was still staring up at the sky.
"Sorry, But stars are a bit too hot to handle."
Stars shouldn't be touched.
