"Why do you not like talking about your past?"
Clarine shot her head up, peering over at the man she knew better than before. She now knew his name was Vulcan. With a heavy sigh, she turned her head away- eyebrows furrowing.
She adjusted her tight black t-shirt and shorts, two new clothing she had bought the day prior with her better paycheck. They were out of her comfort zone, but the feeling of new clothing was exquisite- but she discovered shopping for them was way too difficult for her to appreciate.
"I just don't like to." She retorted harshly, making Vulcan tense. The corners of his lips pinched down into a frown.
"I'm sorry." He apologized quickly, sitting down on the bench beside her. He gripped two Starbucks drinks- a Mocha and a Pumpkin Spice Latte. The two were in a park, where he had invited her to hang out with him for an hour or two.
He offered the Latte to Clarine. "I shouldn't have poked on something that bothers you." He commented, "Will you accept a Latte as an apology?" He asked. Clarine peered over for a few seconds before whipping her head away.
"I could also write a written apology." He offered, trying to bring some humour in. "Sign it with my house name, get a stamp of approval from dumbledore.." He muttered. Clarine snickered and couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Fine!" She relented, making Vulcan smile as he handed her the Latte.
"You're an idiot." She huffed quietly, bringing the straw to her mouth and sipping the cold beverage. Vulcan grinned "All in a day's work." He spoke, making Clarine snicker as she sipped. Humming in satisfaction, the ruby-haired Scarfox took the straw away from her mouth and swallowed.
".." She didn't say anything, bathing in the taste. The spice was the right amount of rush of flavour she wanted- reminding her of Black coffee. Unconsciously, she lifted the drink back up to her mouth and drank more.
Vulcan spoke;
"So, is that apology accepted?"
"Augh- Fine. Sure, apology accepted."
The prompt "Scar" refers to how much Clarine's past affects her and lingers, like a scar.
